Hyderabad: The Telangana high court on Thursday issued notices to the Warangal Urban district collector, revenue divisional officer, and Kazipet tahsildar over alleged inaction in reverting agricultural land to petitioners.
Justice K Sarath directed the three officials to appear in person if they fail to file their responses before the next hearing in four weeks.
Petitioners P Shyam Kumar and two others claimed that 520 square yards in Madikonda village was allotted to 11 beneficiaries under lavani patta in March 1992, with a registered sale deed executed in Feb 2008. They argued that the Land Reforms Appellate Tribunal’s 1995 order exempted the land from ceiling surplus, rendering the allotment void.
However, with officials failing to act despite the tribunal’s ruling, the petitioners moved the high court seeking redress.
