Hyderabad: Canadian player Constellation Software Inc’s (CSI) Perseus Group on Friday unveiled its new global capability centre (GCC) under DarkMatter India Technologies (DMIT), which provides AI-driven technology solutions for the mortgage banking industry, in Hyderabad.
Spread over 1.4 lakh sq ft, the GCC will serve as a hub for advanced technology development, research, and customer support, focused on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), cloud computing, and cybersecurity for not just DarkMatter but the entire CSI group.
The Hyderabad GCC currently employs a little over 750 people with ambitious plans to triple its workforce in the next couple of years to over 2,200 employees. The company said it will be hiring for various domains, including software engineering, data science, and cybersecurity, as the GCC will be supporting over 1,000 CSI group companies across the US, Canada, Africa, and Australia.
Inaugurating the new facility, which has the capacity to seat around 1,400 people, Telangana IT & industries minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad is already home to five of the world’s top BFSI GCCs. With the recent signing of an MoU with UBS and the opening of the DarkMatter GCC, Telangana continues to lead as a global hub for BFSI innovation.
He said Telangana currently has about 400 GCCs in Hyderabad, which has one of the largest tech talent pools with around five lakh active professionals skilled in BFSI. He said the govt plans to add another 1 lakh professionals.
“India is a key market for us, and Hyderabad, with its thriving tech ecosystem and deep talent pool, presents the ideal location for our GCC,” said Scott Smith, president, Perseus Group. Ravi Varma, president & managing director, DMIT, said the GCC will house a dedicated product engineering team driving innovation and enhancing the company’s suite of technology solutions.
