Hydraa reclaims Patancheru park from encroachers

Hyderabad: A park site in Muthangi village‘s Gayatri Layout in Patancheru mandal in Sangareddy district was freed from encroachment following intervention by Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection and Monitoring Agency (HYDRAA).
The action began after representatives of Gayatri Layout Welfare Association lodged a complaint against unauthorised occupation of the park land. According to revenue records, the designated park area spans 1.10 acres. However, in Dharani records, the same survey number was registered as 1.17 acres, creating a discrepancy that was allegedly exploited by encroachers.
Taking advantage of this inconsistency, individuals, who previously sold the land, allegedly facilitated illegal occupation. Praveen, claiming to be a legal heir, allegedly encroached upon seven guntas of the park land. The encroacher also built temporary structure like tin sheds on the land.
Upon verification, HYDRAA confirmed the site’s designation as a park and took steps to remove the encroachment. Following the intervention, a case was registered at Patancheru police station against Praveen, along with two others, Ravi and Mehraj Khan, for their involvement in the illegal occupation.
