Hyderabad: The Balanagar Police solved the murder case of Krishna alias Kittu (42), an auto-rickshaw driver reported on Thursday, and arrested four persons in connection with the killing on Saturday. A previous enmity led to the murder, police said.
The arrested persons are A Krishna from Gajularamaram, M Ravi, G Naresh and G Shankar of Santathnagar. All the accused persons are auto-rickshaw drivers.
According to the police, previously some altercation ensued between the victim and the suspects regarding repairing of auto self-motor, due to which the prime suspect Krishna along with others planned the murder.
As per their plan on January 30, the suspects took the victim to a temple in Edupayala in the auto-rickshaw, made him consume liquor and then brutally murdered by severely beating him.
They then brought him in the auto-rickshaw to a secluded spot beside Khaitan Company Road in Balanagar and continued beating him. After confirming his death, they dumped his body and fled from the spot.
Based on a complaint, the Balanagar police booked a case and with the help of surveillance cameras, identified the suspects and nabbed them.
One auto-rickshaw and a mobile phone were seized.
