Prathima Foundation will organise a cancer awareness programme at Kaloji Kalakshetram in Hanamkonda on Tuesday (February 4) on the occasion of World Cancer Day. The initiative seeks to highlight the message that cancer is both preventable and treatable when detected early and managed effectively.
As part of the awareness drive, the foundation would organise a walkathon, in which around 2,000 people are expected to participate.
Harini Boinipally, founder-member of Prathima Foundation, said: “Cancer is no longer a death sentence. With advancements in medical science, early detection and timely treatment can save lives.”
