Hyderabad: From the bustling streets of Amberpet to the vibrant city of Berlin, Germany, their lives seemed worlds apart.
Yet, on Sunday, Avinash Karthik, a software professional, and Yanna, from Berlin, got married at a resort in Hyderabad’s outskirts.
The son of Chalamalasetti Venkateswara Rao and Bhagyalakshmi — residents of Vignanpuri Colony in Nallakunta — Avinash would never have anticipated that his life would get intertwined with Yanna when he accepted a tech assignment in Berlin in 2017.
However, cupid had other plans when Avinash had a chance meeting with Yanna through a mutual friend in Berlin.
Fast forward to 2025, with the approval and blessings from their parents, the two tied the knot in a simple yet traditional Indian wedding at a function hall on the city outskirts.
As the word of their marriage spread, Avinash’s friends, family and acquaintances began visiting the residence of Venkateswar Rao to congratulate and bless the couple.
Throughout Monday, the house was packed with with visitors and curious relatives.
Local public representatives, including Amberpet MLA Kaleru Venkatesh, also visited to congratulate and bless the couple, in the presence of the bride and groom’s parents.
