Hyderabad: Narsingi police arrested a person on the charges of allegedly drugging women and sexually exploiting them. Police said the accused had even allegedly recorded nude videos.
Police received a complaint from a former actress, who claimed that the accused person and her estranged husband, a Tollywood hero, are friends.
“In Nov 2024, she visited the residence of the accused and obtained a hard disk containing numerous illegally recorded nude videos and photographs of married and unmarried women. The disk also contained data of several persons by compromising their phones and emails,” police said.
Police further said, “The accused allegedly drugged the women to exploit them and also recorded them. On Jan 31, he visited the complainant’s residence demanding her to return the hard disk. When she refused to pay heed to him, he allegedly assaulted her and damaged her property, including TV and CCTV cameras.”
When the complainant had decided to stay at the residence of her friend fearing that the accused might harm her, he visited her house again and held her brother hostage, demanding that the hard disk be returned.
The complainant then approached police and shared the hard disk, seeking justice for the women who were allegedly victimised by the accused. The complainant had filed a complaint against her estranged husband last year, accusing him of cheating her.
