A school teacher died in a road accident near Kanimetta of Pusapatirega mandal in Vizianagaram district on Monday.
According to the sub-inspector of the Pusapatirega police station Durga Prasad, the deceased teacher was identified as Saujanya (43 years) who belonged to PM Palem of Visakhapatnam.
A lorry hit the car in which she was returning, along with her husband Ravikumar and children Hruday and Hansika, from the Maha Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh. Mr. Ravikumar, the children, and driver Prasad who received injuries were being treated in private hospital and their condition is said to be stable.
The police took the lorry driver into custody and booked him on the charge of rash and negligent driving.
