Hyundai Motor India kick started 2025 with the launch of the Creta Electricwhich has been doing really well for the South Korean automaker. Now, the carmaker is preparing for its second biggest product launch of the year – the second-generation Venue. The subcompact SUV’s new model was recently spotted testing in the country.

The spied test mule was heavily camouflaged covering its design details. However, the steel wheels with new wheel covers, and newly-designed horizontal taillamps were still visible. Since the test mule was missing on the roof rails, it’s expected to be mid-spec variant.

Previous spy images hint that the new Hyundai Venue will have a completely new front facia with a newly-designed grille, updated headlamp clusters, revised bumper and a more upright nose. Most of the design changes will be inspired by the Creta and Alcazar SUVs. The compact SUV might also come with the new alloy wheels, revised rear bumper and redesigned tailgate.

A few noticeable upgrades will also be made inside the cabin. While official details are not available at this point of time, it’s likely to be equipped with the ventilated front seatsa 360 degree camera and new seat upholstery. To give a fresh look, Hyundai might also redesign its dashboard.

The new Hyundai Venue is most like to retain the existing engine and gearbox options. The current generation of the compact SUV comes with the 1.0L turbo petrol, 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5L diesel engines, delivering 118bhp with 172Nm, 82bhp with 115Nm, and 99bhp with 240Nm, respectively. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT automatic.

With the generation shift, the Venue will certainly witness a slight price hike. Currently, the model lineup comes within the price range of Rs 7.94 lakh – Rs 13.62 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
