Vijayawada: Chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said that Annadata Sukhibhava and Thalliki Vandanam, the financial incentive schemes for farmers and mothers of school-going children, will be implemented from this year.
The CM chaired the TDP politburo meeting to discuss the promises made in the NDA election manifesto. He said that every promise made in the manifesto will be implemented.
Agriculture minister K Atchannaidu told reporters that despite the poor financial situation of the state, the NDA govt has done wonders in the first seven months of coming to power. He said that CM Naidu is keen on fulfilling every promise made in the manifesto, adding that the politburo has decided to hold Mahanadu in Kadapa district.
CM Naidu stated that the scheme to give 20,000 to every farmer in the state will be launched before kharif, and govt is planning to distribute the money in three tranches. The TDP politburo also discussed the reorganisation of districts and revival of Backward Classes (BC) reservations in local bodies. Moreover, CM Naidu informed the politburo members that due to financial mismanagement of the previous YSRCP regime, the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) limit of the state is completely exhausted. He observed that NDA govt attracted 6.5 lakh crore of investments in just seven months.
CM Naidu expressed displeasure over the ministers and MLAs for failing to communicate the govt’s achievements to the public. He warned that mistakes of 2014-19 should not be repeated.
The politburo praised the efforts of party national general secretary Nara Lokesh for crossing the one-crore mark for the first time in party membership.
Atchennaidu said that TDP is taking all steps for the welfare of party members. He mentioned that a special tribunal will be constituted to deal with all cases of attacks on TDP cadres in the last five years. He also said that all the temple attack incidents will be investigated.
The politburo has decided to hold coordination meetings with alliance members on a regular basis, and to limit the party grievance program to Saturdays only.
TDP state president Palla Srinivasa Rao said that the politburo also discussed about revamping the party organisational structure.
