Warangal: In a bid to boost health safety for workers and farmers, 108 ambulance services were launched at the Enumamula Agricultural Market in Warangal on Wednesday. Market secretary P. Nirmala inaugurated the project, following protests on Tuesday by workers, traders, and farmers who halted food grain purchases after a farmer died from a sudden cardiac arrest.
Protesters had decried the lack of essential facilities — including drinking water, toilets, proper shelters, CCTV, and immediate medical support. In response, officials arranged ambulance services and pledged to soon provide additional amenities.
Nirmala said that the new ambulance services will ensure continuous medical support for all market visitors, significantly enhancing safety and contributing to a healthier environment.
