Guntur hospital organises cancer screening camps


Omega Hospital, Guntur, marked World Cancer Day on Tuesday (February 4) with a series of initiatives aimed at spreading awareness on cancer, early detection and patient support.

According to a press release, hospital director and chief surgical oncologist M.G. Nagakishore said they treated over one lakh patients since the inception of the hospital in 2017. As part of the World Cancer Day programme, the hospital organised mobile cancer screening camps across Guntur and Vijayawada, special cancer screening package for Women at ₹999, including pap test, mammography, X-ray, complete blood picture, serum creatinine test and oncologist consultation. Cervical cancer vaccination drives were also organised.
