With the launch of Kylaq, Skoda car is aiming at India’s mass-market sub 4m SUV segment. This segment has significantly higher potential for volumes, than Kushaq and Slavia. The company is now partnered with Zepto, India’s leading “quick-commerce” company. Let’s take a look.
Skoda kylaq by Zepto
After the rise in e-commerce companies, there is a new breed of “quick-commerce” companies that promise deliveries of groceries and electronics within minutes. Among the leading quick-commerce companies, is Bengaluru-based Zepto, which currently operates in 10 metropolitan areas in India.
Zepto is known for its 10-minute-delivery promise on groceries, fruits, vegetables, personal care items, electronics and more. However, the company has now partnered with Skoda Auto. In a recent TVC, Zepto is seen delivering a Skoda Kylaq to customers, while they pick it up from a dealership.
In the TVC, Zepto delivery agent is shown like he is unaware that his delivery is of a car as Zepto has entered this service, which is quite amusing. This ad has gone viral and sparked curiosity among car enthusiasts, who are wondering whether a car delivery is possible in 10 minutes?
10-Minute-Delivery Possible?
Well, it is not. Zepto CEO and Co-Founder, Aadit Palicha has shared this update.
“No, We’re Not Delivering Cars in 10 Minutes… yet.
We’ve seen the headlines—Skoda & Zepto delivering cars in 10 minutes?! We love the energy, but let’s clear things up: you won’t be ordering a Škoda Kylaq from the Zepto app (as tempting as that sounds).
What you can get in 10 minutes? A test drive of the Škoda Kylaq for now 🙂
But… who knows what the future holds?”
