VMRDA officials visit Vizianagaram to inspect progress of works

Visakhapatnam: VMRDA metropolitan commissioner KS Vishwanathan met Vizianagaram collector BR Ambedkar at the latter’s office to discuss various ongoing development projects being undertaken by VMRDA in the district. They discussed the development of roads from the local Ice Factory Junction to Ayinada, as well as the roads leading to JNTU and the medical college. They also discussed measures being taken to develop PSR Park on the ring road and the Kanapaka-Ayyannapeta VUDA colony park.
Along with district joint collector Sethu Madhavan, they reviewed the ongoing renovation work at the VMRDA zonal office building in Anand Gajapathi auditorium. The officials informed that the auditorium would soon be modernised with all necessary facilities and made available for use. They also reviewed the proposed 80-feet-wide JNTU master plan road and the government medical college road, as well as the ongoing works at the NTR Smart Township in Jiyyannavalasa. Officials were instructed to complete the works with quality and as quickly as possible.
Viswanathan earlier inspected the proposed master plan road stretching 150 feet from Vepagunta to Pinagadi. After this, he reviewed several development works being carried out by VMRDA in Anakapalli district, including the road from Koduru to Asakapalli, the modernisation of the Rao Gopal Rao Auditorium, and the upcoming development of a new park at Kottapalem, spanning around 7 acres.
Superintending engineer Balarama Raju, planning officials Venkateswara Rao, Mounika, executive engineer Durga Prasad, deputy executive engineer Ramana Rao, assistant engineer Srinivas, planning staff, and others accompanied the commissioner.
