Kurnool: Dr. Ch. Prabhakar Reddy, a cardiothoracic surgeon, who has successfully performed over a thousand heart surgeries at the Kurnool Government Hospital, was felicitated in the city on Thursday.
The programme saw participation from people whose lives were saved through Dr. Prabhakar Reddy’s expertise. Dr. V. Brahma Reddy, head of Praja Vaidyashala, commended the heart surgeon for performing even complicated surgeries, thereby benefitting patients, most of them poor.
Several patients, including Narasimha Reddy from Narasaraopet, Viswesvarayya from Kurnool, and Sankar Rao’s family, shared their life-saving experiences after undergoing their heart surgery.
Advocate Sriramulu, Ramakrishna Reddy from Handri Parirakshana Samiti, Dr. Ismail, Pratap Reddy and poet Yelamarthi Ramanaiah were among those present.
