Vijayawada: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Andhra Pradesh, hailed Union Budget 2025-26 presented by finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman as a comprehensive and forward-looking budget plan that aims to drive inclusive growth, enhance infrastructure, and foster innovations. The CII said that the budget focuses on key areas such as agriculture, MSMEs, and social welfare, providing significant support to sectors that are crucial for the development of states like AP.
CII AP chairman Dr V Murali Krishna commended the Union Budget as a progressive and growth-driven roadmap that would strengthen agriculture, MSMEs, startups, healthcare, and infrastructure. He said the increase in income tax exemption limit to 12 lakh is a significant relief for the middle class, boosting savings and increasing disposable income supporting govt’s objective of uplifting household sentiments and spending power of India’s rising middle class.
At a press meet on Saturday, CII Vijayawada zone chairman DV Ravindranath described the Union Budget it as an encouragment for the nation. He stated that the new income tax reforms proposed in the budget would benefit middle-class employees.
“The enhanced credit guarantee cover and customized credit cards for micro-enterprises are crucial for the growth of MSMEs. These measures will provide the necessary financial support to small businesses, enabling them to expand and create more employment opportunities,” Ravindranath further opined.
