Himesh Reshammiya’s badass ravikumar to take a bigger opening Than Junaid Khan’s Loveyapa | Hindi movie news

In any movie industry worldwide, a release clash is usually best avoided. However, with only 52 weeks in a year, clashes are sometimes inevitable. This week in Bollywood, Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravikumar—a sequel to his 2014 hit The Xposé—is set to clash with Loveyapa, featuring Aamir khan’s son Junaid Khan and Translation’s daughter Khushi Kapoor. Loveyapa is the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit film Love Today.

Despite bringing together star kids, Loveyapa is struggling to attract audiences compared to Himesh’s over-the-top, 80s-inspired action entertainer. According to reports, Loveyapa has sold only around 5,000 to 7,000 tickets in advance, whereas Badass ravikumar has sold over 59,000 tickets, accumulating an advance total of Rs 95 lakh.
Early morning show collections further reflect this disparity—Loveyapa has earned just Rs 2 lakh, while Himesh’s film has raked in Rs 8 lakh. However, it is still too early to predict the final outcome, as word-of-mouth reviews for both films are yet to come in and could change their trajectories.
One positive aspect for both films is that they have already recovered their costs. Himesh’s film, made on a budget of Rs ₹20 crore, has recouped its investment through music sales and subsidies. Similarly, Loveyapa, featuring newcomers, had minimal production costs. The film’s music has also performed well, with its label paying a substantial amount, and its digital and satellite rights have already been acquired.
Junaid and Khushi have their next films already chalked out, while Khushi will be seen with Saif ali Khan‘s son Ibrahim Ali Khan’s debut film Naadaniyan. Junaid’s next is backed by his father where he will be sharing screen space with You know Pallavi.
