The Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) in coordination with the civic officials, undertook a drive to remove illegal advertisement hoardings on the way to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad on Friday.
A large number of unipoles on both sides of the road, which lacked required permissions, were removed. A statement informed that the drive will be carried in all the municipalities in the city peripheries in future. A meeting has been organised with the officials from the respective municipalities in this regard, it said.
Another statement informed about the tour by HYDRAA Commissioner A.V.Ranganath in Ameenpur Municipality, in view of several complaints about the layouts there.
Mr. Ranganath organised meetings at Ilapuram and Chakrapuri colonies to hear the grievances of the victims who complained that their plots were illegally occupied by a landgrabber. He assured the complainants that a transparent survey will be undertaken together with the Survey of India soon.
