There is a theory in Politics that if any leader is jailed, the Public sympathy will work in his favor and he will be voted to power in the next election.
This is the most misinterpreted theory in politics and often misleads the leaders and parties.

In recent times, Chandrababu Naidu and Hemanth Soren were arrested and their parties came to power in the immediate elections.
And so, the people started selling the ‘sympathy theory’ once again.

But then, we are in 2025, and peddling these rubbish theories is nothing but an insult to the intellect of the voters.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was jailed for sixteen months and was on bail for the 2014 elections. He lost that election.

There is no sympathy then. Public voted as per the conditions and their intellect.
The arrests may fuel the party cadres and the public may consider it as a factor in the elections but it is a misconception that ‘sympathy’ decides everything in an election.
The best example is the people of Delhi did not care for Arvind Kejriwal even though he was jailed for more than five months.
Not only did AAP lose Delhi, Kejriwal was also defeated in his own seat.
His main man, Manish Sisodia was in jail for more than 17 months and was defeated.
Kejriwal’s fall in Delhi carries an important lesson for Chandrababu Naidu.
There are murmurs already that Chandrababu fears action against Jagan and other corrupt leaders of the YSR Congress believing this Sympathy Theory.
If that is true, this should be an eye-opener for Babu.
People have the intellect to differentiate between the Corrupt and the Innocent.
They can see which case is false and which has merit.
Chandrababu Naidu should stop believing these bullshit sympathy theories and go ahead with cases and arrests if there is merit in the allegations he made against Jagan and others in the campaign of the 2024 elections.
If Chandrababu got ‘Sympathy’ in 2024, it is not because he was jailed. It is because people believed it is a case of Political Vendetta. People thought Chandrababu was not a culprit.
If there is merit in the allegations made against Jagan, people would sense it and give their mandate accordingly. People are not fools to entertain rogues just because they are in jail. So, such thoughts should be removed from the heads of the leaders.
If he did not get the message even now, it is an insult to the mandate he got.
