Hyderabad: A flight from Hyderabad to Prayagraj was delayed for nearly six hours on Friday due to technical problems, leaving several passengers, including VIPs, stranded at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA).
The SpiceJet flight, scheduled for Friday morning, was grounded after the pilot reported technical problems. The stranded passengers complained of lack of clarity from airline officials during the long wait.
Recently, SpiceJet launched special flights between Hyderabad and Prayagraj on Feb 1 to facilitate easy travel for the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, currently underway at the Triveni Sangam, is the world’s largest religious congregation at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. The event, which began on Jan 13, has already attracted over 40 million pilgrims and will continue till Feb 26.
