Hyundai Exter, the smallest SUV offering from the South Korean automaker, has received an update for this year. The carmaker has expanded the micro-SUV model lineup with a new SX Tech trim, positioned below the top-end SX (O) and SX (O) Connect trims. Furthermore, the 2025 Hyundai Exter SUV’s CNG variants have been rejigged, and existing variants received new features.

Talking about the new SX Tech trim, it comes with petrol MT, petrol AMT and CNG MT engine-gearbox options, priced at Rs 8.51 lakh, Rs 9.18 lakh and Rs 9.53 lakh, respectively. Compared to the SX (O) trim, the new Exter SX Tech is nearly Rs 44,000 less expensive.

New Exter SX Tech Features:

On the feature front, the new SX Tech trim offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a dashcam with front and rear cameras, automatic climate control system, keyless entry and go and projector headlamps. With this trim, you will miss out on features such as leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, a cooled glove box, a wireless smartphone charger and a rear wiper.

Aiming to improve the value proposition of the mid-level S trim, Hyundai has added four safety features including hill start assist, electronic stability control, a rear camera and vehicle stability management. The S and S+ trims also get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and 15-inch dual-tone wheel covers. The 2025 Hyundai Exter S+ trim also receives a rear camera, a sunroof, power adjust for the ORVMs. Prices of the updated Exter S and S+ trims have been increased by Rs 15,000 and Rs 13,000, respectively.

New S Executive Variant:

The 2025 Hyundai Exter CNG S Executive variant, available with single-cylinder and dual-cylinder, is a new addition. This new trim comes as a replacement to the S CNG and S Duo CNG variants, priced Rs 4,000 higher.

Engine Specs:

The engine setup of the Hyundai Exter is a 1.2L, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox option. The motor delivers a claimed power of 83bhp and 114Nm of torque. The CNG version is good enough for 69bhp and 95.2Nm.
