Three students die by suicide in separate cases in Hyderabad-Telangana Today


Police have registered cases in all three incidents and investigation is under way

Hyderabad: Three students died by suicide in separate cases in the city on Friday night.

In the first case, a degree second-year student died by suicide at Chatrinaka. A Shiva Charan (19), a resident of Kandikalgate, stayed along with his mother.


For the last few weeks, Shiva Charan had been demanding that his mother buy an iPhone for him. However, due to financial issues, she had asked him to wait a few weeks.

On Friday, when she went out on some work, Charan hanged himself from the ceiling fan in the house using a scarf, the police said. A case has been registered.

In the other case, an Intermediate student died by suicide at Filmnagar. M Vijay Kumar (17), a resident of Filmnagar, was studying in Intermediate second year.

The boy’s family told the police that Vijay had slipped into depression as was unable to concentrate on studies, due to which he might have ended his life. A case has been registered.

In the third case, a Class X student killed herself at her home in Hafeez Babanagar, Kanchanbagh.

According to the police, the girl quarreled with her elder sister over some small issue and later went inside a room. She hanged herself from the ceiling fan using a scarf, the police said.

A case has been registered.
