Adilabad: Kodimela Hima Teja, the first Ranji player from Adilabad, was felicitated on his return home by various local associations. The celebration was hosted at the JC Cricket Academy — where Teja honed his skills in childhood — with former minister Jogu Ramanna serving as chief guest.
Mangesh, founder of Nagpur’s Dhoni Cricket Academy, along with JC Cricket Academy founders Jayendra and Devendra Pataskar, lauded Teja for his lifelong dedication to the sport. During the event, Teja thanked his early coaches and supportive family, noting that unlike most, his parents encouraged him to pursue cricket professionally.
Jogu Ramanna congratulated Teja for his achievements with the Hyderabad Cricket Association and wished for his future inclusion in the Indian cricket team. Also present were Teja’s parents, Madhusudhan and Kameshwari, Adilabad District Olympic Association president Goverdhan Reddy, and senior BRS leader Younu Akbani. Teja’s alma mater, St. Joseph’s Convent High School — where he completed his SSC — had also invited him as a guest to celebrate his success.
