Working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) K.T. Rama Rao has observed that Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is proving to be an ‘iron leg’ for the Congress as he had ensured the party get a big zero in the Delhi Assembly elections.

Speaking at a party meeting here on Saturday, Mr. Rama Rao said Mr. Revanth Reddy had initiated the Congress slide in Maharashtra by vigorously campaigning there by making promises, which he had failed to keep back home in Telangana, on behalf of the party and the slide hit the bottom in Delhi, where too had campaigned by highlighting the promises made in Telangana.

Mr. Reddy would continue to do his bit to deflate the Congress further electorally elsewhere in the country too, Mr. Rama Rao said adding that it was AICC leader Rahul Gandhi who had become the biggest campaigner for BJP and he too was ensuring Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) win everywhere.

In a statement, senior leader of the party T. Harish Rao said Mr. Revanth Reddy had played a key role in the defeat of Congress in Haryana, Maharashtra and Delhi as it he who had propagated the betrayal of people by the party after making tall promises in Telangana.

The Congress’s plan to get benefited electorally in Delhi by going for the caste census in Telangana in a hurry had backfired badly, the BRS leader said adding that it was time the Congress tendered an apology to people and take up the census exercise again.
