Happy Streets & Happier Feet: Hyd Dances Into Sunday Bliss

The third week of The Times of India’s Happy Streets turned Sanjeevaiah Park into a hub of energy and activity on Sunday. As the sun rose, hundreds of Hyderabadis poured in, eager to reclaim their streets, immerse themselves in fitness, and revel in the sheer joy of community bonding.
The vehicle-free stretch resonated with music, laughter, and enthusiasm, setting the perfect stage for a Sunday like no other. From the early morning yoga session to the dance workouts, every corner of the stretch had something to offer.
“I’ve never seen my children so excited to wake up early on a Sunday,” beamed Vikas Goud, who attended with his family. “The best part? There’s something for everyone! While my kids are busy with the art workshop, I’m sweating it out at the fitness sessions.”
As the morning progressed, the atmosphere only grew livelier. The air throbbed with beats from live music performances and DJ sets, coaxing even the most reserved attendees onto their feet. The creative corner drew admirers as an artist assembled a massive portrait using Rubik’s cubes, while children gathered around giant board games and dived into painting workshops.
For Rajesh, the experience was a refreshing break from the routine. “Our parks are usually just for walking,” he chuckled. “Today, I tried Zumba for the first time. Age is just a number when you’re having this much fun!”
The dedicated pet zone became a heartwarming sight, as furry companions frolicked with their owners. An on-site adoption drive gave many hopeful pets a chance to find loving homes.
“Events like these show how public spaces can be transformed into vibrant celebrations of life,” said Sai Keerthana, an enthusiastic participant. “It’s not just about fitness or entertainment—it’s about coming together for pure, unfiltered fun.”
As the third week of Happy Streets concluded, anticipation for the next edition was already building. The upcoming weekend promises another unforgettable experience, this time at Banjara Hills on Sunday.
This edition of Happy Streets is presented by Joyalukkas, powered by Lansum Properties, and supported by The Singareni Collieries Company Limited as an associate sponsor. The event also received support from the Hyderabad traffic police.
