Kishan Reddy blames Rahul Gandhi for Congress’s defeat in Delhi polls

BJP Telangana president and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Delhi for the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) decisive win in the Delhi Assembly elections. Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the Telugu people, he noted that the election results demonstrated the people’s ability to judge leaders at the right time.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, Mr. Reddy launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi, blaming him for the Congress party’s defeat. “Since Rahul Gandhi took over as the party’s main leader, the party’s defeats have become numerous,” Reddy said, questioning how the people of the country could have faith in Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s leadership when Congress workers themselves lacked confidence in him.

Mr. Reddy also criticised the Kejriwal government’s failure in developing Delhi, alleging that the AAP party had exposed its ‘dirty politics’ by making allegations against the BJP government in Haryana. He noted that the people had rejected the Kejriwal government, which had continued its ‘rule of exploitation’.

Further, the Union Minister accused Mr. Kejriwal of being the only Chief Minister in independent India’s history to rule from jail, following corruption charges and a liquor case. He alleged that Mr. Kejriwal had tried to deceive the people, but they had ultimately recognized his true nature and defeated him.

Mr. Reddy asserted that the BJP would win upcoming elections in States where the Congress is in power, emphasising that the future of Congress under Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s leadership appears bleak. In contrast, the Narendra Modi government has been ruling with integrity for over 10 years.

Gudur hails victory

Meanwhile, BJP State senior leader Gudur Narayana Reddy stated that the BJP’s victory in Delhi had once again proved that people trust the BJP over other parties. He expressed confidence that the BJP would win the Telangana Assembly elections, citing the party’s continued wins in Delhi, Haryana, and Maharashtra after the Lok Sabha polls.
