Indian author and storyteller Neelesh Mishra has voiced his concerns over the deteriorating quality of humor in modern stand-up comedy. In a social media post, he criticized a viral clip from the podcast India’s Got Latent, hosted by comedian Samay Raina.

The clip features Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, posing a highly inappropriate question:
“Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?”

The remark was met with laughter from both the hosts and the audience. Mishra condemned the incident, questioning how such content, which is easily accessible to children, is being produced without any sense of responsibility.

He pointed out that neither the creators nor the platforms seem to have any accountability, allowing such humor to be widely circulated. According to him, content like this is rewarded with millions of views and high engagement, while decency is sidelined.
He further criticized the audience for normalizing and celebrating such humor, arguing that creators continue to lower their standards to chase views and revenue.
Another social media user also expressed frustration, calling out the impact of such content on younger audiences.
He accused content creators of corrupting the minds of future generations, questioning how such a thought could even be entertained. He urged parents to protect their children from such influence, warning that it could blur moral boundaries.
The controversy raises concerns about where content creation is headed and whether ethical boundaries should be reinforced in the name of responsible creativity.
