The Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) has registered cases against eight individuals in Hyderabad for allegedly practicing allopathic medicine without proper registration. The cases have been filed under Sections 34 and 54 of the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act.

During inspections conducted last month, TGMC officials identified unqualified practitioners operating under the guise of Rural Medical Practitioners (RMPs) and Paramedical Practitioners (PMPs). These individuals were found prescribing antibiotics and steroids without medical necessity, potentially endangering public health. Evidence was collected against them, leading to the registration of cases.

TGMC Vice Chairman Dr. G. Srinivas stated that the council is intensifying its crackdown on fake doctors and will extend inspections to Warangal and other major cities in Telangana. He highlighted that any individual practicing allopathic medicine without a valid registration would face strict legal action.

Among those booked include Ramesh of Sri Sai Clinic and K. Sreedhar of Sri Ambika Hospital, who were operating illegally under the jurisdiction of the Nawabpet Police Station. Similarly, LVR Reddy of Sri Venkateswara Clinic in Indira Nagar was identified in Kukatpally.

In Malkajgiri, two cases were registered, Bisa Venkateswarlu of Sharani First Aid Center in Hanuman Nagar, Moulali, and G. Bhagya Rekha of Sri Krupa First Aid Center. Further inspections in Neredmet led to action against Srikanth, who was running DSR Health Care Poly Clinic and Diagnostic Center in A.S. Rao Nagar, as well as Mohammad Azam Hussain and Mohammad Ashfaq Hussain, who were operating Assam Plus Clinic and Counseling Center in Hakimpet.

Meanwhile, in Saroor Nagar, authorities booked Srinivasa Chari of Sri Maruti Clinic in Champapet, along with Bhartan Rashid of Sai Akshita and Akshaya Clinic, also in Champapet. Another case was filed against D. Rambabu, who was running Sai Chaitanya First Aid Center in Srinivasa Nagar Colony.
