When Will Ajith Learn A Lesson?

Ajith is one of the biggest stars in Tamil cinema, alongside the likes of Vijay and Rajinikanth. But his film choices in the recent past have been denting his market significantly, especially in Telugu. His fans are wondering when Ajith learn a lesson and start choosing scripts wisely.

Ajith never had a great fan base in Telugu but this is the right time for him to expand his market. With Vijay leaving films soon and Suriya’s films not performing well, Ajith had a great chance to fill that spot in Telugu. However, his recent dubbed films like Pattudhala (Vidaamuyarchi), Thegimpu (Thunivu) and Valimai ended up as colossal disasters in Telugu and almost demolished Ajith’s existing little market value in AP and Telangana.

Pattudhala was released on February 6. Though it got good openings in Tamil, the film failed to get even decent openings in Telugu. On top of that, the flop verdict from the audience damaged the film’s result even further.

Not only in Telugu but Ajith’s career has been witnessing a downfall in Tamil as well. He never promotes his films nor appears in any events or interviews. That is okay when the content is good but he seems to be not focusing on content as well and his recent films prove the same.

He is in a safe zone, working with the same directors again and again and coming up with disappointing films. He seems to be more interested in racing than films. Ajith, who is known for slick action dramas and commercial entertainers, is not seen anymore. If this is his strategy, he may witness Vikram-level downfall very soon. His fans are literally requesting him to take care on scripts and work with young exciting directors but it looks like Ajith is not paying attention. They are fed up with these mediocre projects and are wondering when will Ajith learn a lesson.

Ajith will have one more release this year, Good Bad Ugly, directed by Aadhik Ravichandran. It has to be seen if that film satisfies fans and ends their drought.
