Youngster dies during DJ dance in Kurnool


Kurnool: A youngster died of cardiac arrest during a wedding on Saturday. The deceased was identified as K. Veeresh, 28, from Kosigi. He was rushed to Adoni Government Hospital but died on the way.

A resident of Kosigi near the RTC bus stand, Veeresh had come home from Bellary, Karnataka, where he worked as a centering labourer to attend his cousin’s wedding in Kuppagal in Adoni Mandal.

The celebrations took place in Pedda Thumbalam, followed by a Meravani function at night, where Veeresh danced with his friends to DJ music. After returning home, he suddenly collapsed. Locals and relatives immediately took him to the hospital, but doctors at confirmed his death due to heart attack.

Veeresh is survived by his wife Saroja, son Durga, and daughter Ammulu. According to Pedda Thumbalam SI Mahesh Kumar, he had suffered two heart attacks in the past and was under medication. Villager S. Rajesh mentioned that his mother had died of heart attack three months ago, leaving only his father in the family. Veeresh had been taking medication for his heart ailment, and heavy dance and loud DJ music may have triggered the fatal attack, he said.

The police have not registered a case, considering it to be a natural death, said the SI. Veeresh’s body was shifted to Kosigi for the last rites.
