The liquor outlets to be allocated to the toddy tappers’ community were conducted through a lottery system on Monday.
As per government policy, 10 shops were allocated to the people of Goud community, in the district. Joint Collector B. Navya conducted the allotment through a lottery process at the Zilla Parishad conference hall, in the presence of Excise Deputy Commissioner Sridevi, Excise Superintendent Sudheer Babu and other officials.
A total of 133 applications were received for the 10 shops, an official release said.
