Hyderabad: Much before the full onset of summer, Hyderabad and parts of Telangana are set to experience a taste of peak summer for the next three to five days.
Maximum temperatures are expected to rise to 38 degrees C in parts of Hyderabad and potentially to 40 degrees C in other districts, making the coming days quite challenging due to the intense heat.
In its statewide forecast, the India Meteorological Department (IMD-Hyderabad) on Monday said maximum temperatures across Telangana will be more than normal temperatures by 2-4 degrees C. On Monday, the maximum temperatures in and around Hyderabad hovered between 34 and 35 degrees C.
Noted weather forecaster from Hyderabad, T Balaji, on Monday issued a heat alert, saying that heat is all set to increase in its power, as temperatures will further rise from Tuesday.
Balaji took to X (telanganaweatherman) and posted: “East and North Telangana will face blistering heat of 38 degrees C to 40 degrees C while Hyderabad will see temperatures ranging from 36 degrees C to 38 degrees C. This heat spell will last for at least five to days till February 19 or 20, thereafter light reduction in temperature is expected,” he said.
