Telangana HC Seeks Police Contention on Radhakishan Rao’s Anticipatory Bail Plea

Hyderabad: Justice K. Lakshman of the Telangana High Court sought the contention of the Panjagutta police in the anticipatory bail petition filed by P. Radhakishan Rao, former DCP of task force, in a phone-tapping case.

Rao had filed the anticipatory bail on the complaint of one Gangaboina Chakradhar Goud, who contested the 2024 Assembly elections from Siddipet.

Goud alleged that the SIB police had even tapped phones belonging to him and his family members, when the BRS was in power ruling on the instructions of BRS leader T. Harish Rao. He specifically mentioned that Radhakishan Rao was actively involved in the process of tapping his phones. Hence, the police registered an FIR against Harish Rao and Radhakishan Rao. Both of them have interim protection from arrest till February 12.
