Speaking at the success meet, Venkatesh announced that he will return with the sequel to Sankranthiki Vasthunnam in 2027, with a Pongal release planned.
Director Anil Ravipudi has hinted in multiple interviews that a sequel was always on the cards, as there is ample scope to continue the story.
