Vijayawada: Tirupati witnessed a dramatic turn of events as the woman, who had been accusing Jana Sena leader Kiran Royal of fraud amounting to 1.2 crore for the past two days, was arrested by Rajasthan police.
The woman named T Lakshmi Reddy was taken into custody in Tirupati by a team of female officers from Jaipur.
Following the arrest, Lakshmi was transferred to the SV University police station in Tirupati. Local police were informed, and arrangements were made to transport her to Jaipur with a transit warrant.
An SVU inspector told TOI that Jaipur police had registered a case related to cryptocurrency fraud in 2021. Four of the five accused, who allegedly lured multiple people in the name of cryptocurrency, were arrested, and Lakshmi Reddy was the fifth accused in the 2021 fraud case.
