HYDERABAD: BRS president and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday predicted byelections in 10 constituencies from where MLAs who won on party tickets had joined the Congress.
Rao’s comments came during an interaction with party leaders and workers from Station Ghanpur constituency. The delegation was led by T Rajaiah, former BRS MLA from the constituency. Former minister Kadiam Srihari won from Station Ghanpur in 2023 on a BRS ticket and later joined Congress.
Rao said Srihari would be one of the 10 who would lose in the bypolls in which Rajaiah will win on the BRS ticket. The people will teach a strong lesson to all the turncoats, Rao said. He later admitted some local leaders from Station Ghanpur into the BRS.
