Hyderabad: With the ever romantic Valentine’s Day almost on us, many lovebirds have planned their celebration their loved ones. While musical bands are working on last minute fine tuning to perform at the big stages, a variety of events have been lined up by others.
Aishwarya Allam from the city, who is pursuing law in New Jersey, says “I am in the city with my fiancé. I will take him around the city and my surprise Valentine’s Day gift is treating him to a special dinner at Falaknuma.”
With the big day coming on a Friday, clubs and pubs anticipate a fabulous weekend.
With Mumbai’s Ishaan and Band set to perform in the city, the organisers have reported almost 80 per cent of seats have been reserved.
Band lead Ishaan said, “We will be performing Bollywood numbers and romantic Sufi and Punjabi songs during our three-hour show.”
Many couples have reportedly been looking for exotic places to have a quiet time away from the rough and tumble of everyday chores.
Akansha Chatterjee, cluster head, Indian hotels company, explained, “The whole week has been planned well. We are lining up Rose day, Propose day, Chocolate day, Teddy day, Promise day, Hug day, Kiss day and the icing on the cake Valentine’s day.”
Explaining the unique features that are on offer, Akansha said “As evening approaches, the guests are led to a private outdoor dining area amid a green-themed ambience for that memorable dinner date. The table is set with romantic décor, surrounded by flickering lanterns, bouquet, cake and the natural beauty of the night.”
John and Nigel, popularly known as Geiles brothers, who have been performing for the last three and half decades, are devoted to Retro Pop and Jazz, mostly the classic numbers.
John Geiles said, “for the Valentine’s Day, we are playing mostly the romantic classic numbers which were on Billboard chartbusters. That will create the mood for the evening and I am sure it will bring all guests to the dance floor.”
