Hyderabad: GMR Aero Technic, a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider, inked a pact with French aircraft systems manufacturing and servicing giant Liebherr-Aerospace to provide comprehensive repair services for heat exchangers.
The collaboration will leverage Liebherr’s technological expertise and GMR Aero Technic’s infrastructure and workforce to provide high-quality, cost-effective repair solutions to airlines operating in India and the surrounding region.
GMR Aero Technic president & accountable manager, Ashok Gopinath, said the partnership will aim to provide faster, more efficient repair solutions for A320 operators in the region.
Ekkehard Pracht, general manager aerospace, Liebherr-Singapore Pte Ltd, said the move was part of efforts to enhance regional MRO capabilities. “This agreement is key to support locally the Indian operators with Liebherr OEM quality, jointly with our Liebherr-Aerospace’s regional service centre based in Singapore,” he said.
GMR Aero Technic said the initiative aligns with its commitment to enhance local MRO capabilities and contribute to the ‘Make in India’ vision.
