Visakhapatnam: The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has announced that due to repairs on the Raiwada pipeline, there will be an interruption in the drinking water supply on Feb 14.
The maintenance will be carried out on a major 1,000mm PSC pipeline that supplies water from Narava to the town service reservoir.
Hence, drinking water will be disrupted in several areas of Zones 3, 5, and 8 from 10 am to 8 pm on Friday, Feb 14. The GVMC’s water supply department has requested the public to cooperate and has apologised for the inconvenience that will be caused. There will also be a disruption for those receiving bulk water from the Raiwada drinking water supply scheme.
In Zone-3, areas that will be affected include Doctors Colony, MMTC Colony, APSEB Colony, Ambedkar Nagar, P&T Colony, Gandhi Nagar Area, Ramakrishna Nagar, Shankar Math Main Road, Chakalipeta, Lalitha Nagar, among others.
