Google Doodle: Cricket holds a special place in the hearts of millions in India, and over the years, the Women’s Premier League (WPL) has carved out its own fanbase. As WPL 2025 kicks off on February 14, Google has joined in on the excitement with a playful, cricket-inspired Doodle.
The artwork features two animated birds having a friendly match on a cricket pitch, with classic elements like a bat, ball, and stumps, capturing the spirit of the game. Clicking on the Doodle takes you to Google’s interactive ‘Mini Cup’ game, created specially to celebrate the tournament.
In this light-hearted game, you take on the role of a batter, facing deliveries from a quirky bird bowler. All you need to do is tap your screen to swing the bat and try to score big. “Ready to play in the Mini Cup? Join fans worldwide to protect your wicket and score runs before each game ends. Watch out! You’re up against a real wicket-taker,” reads the text on the welcome screen of the game.”
Alongside the game, you’ll also find the full WPL 2025 schedule, making it a fun way to stay updated while getting into the cricketing spirit.
