Two hundred and eighty kms ride in the third row of an Innova Crysta | My experience
This post is just to address concerns around riding in the third row of an Innova Crysta; it isn’t bad at all.
I had the opportunity to ride in an Innova Crysta – here is a quick account of how I rode 280kms in the third row, and how the next 80kms in the second row felt. The third row ride of 280kms was a mix of approx 100km of rural winding roads and about 180km of National Highway.
In the third row – all to myself
A selfie camera view of the right side glass – not claustrophobic at all. In fact, I shut the AC vents off too
Selfie camera view – me seated on the left in the third row with second row adjusted to a comfortable position for the second row 5’8er
With the second row pushed all the way back, there is no legroom for a Row#3 passenger
Second row set in an absolutely comfy position for a 5’8er thus creating decent legroom for the third row –
however, one can’t sit in the third row in this upright and knees straight ahead position for long since underthigh support is absent
Seated at ease with the thighs supported – absolutely comfortable position
Seated in the second row Captain seat for the next 80km or so
Verdict
I’d take the third row in the Crysta anyday. The second row foam was a tad too spongy resulting in some discomfort. Maybe I felt comfortable in the third row coz it was never used. Maybe, but it is the third row for me!
