The producers have not disclosed a lot of details about the lead cast members so far. However, a source said that although the film was supposed to start last year, the work was delayed for unknown reasons. Despite all these, Ajay Devgn confirmed in November 2024 that he was a part of the film.
Jaaved Jaaferi also addressed the sequel the same year in another interview, saying that the first part will always be the best for him. He mentioned at the time that the fourth film will arrive soon and the shooting is expected to start in early 2025.

The first part was released back in 2007 and although it did not feature any female leads, it turned out to be successful at the box office. The response was the same for Double Dhamaal and Total Dhamaal, with the latter grossing almost Rs. 300 crores, which was the highest number in terms of collections among all the installments.
While Indra Kumar made the first two films by repeating the main cast members, he did not do the same with the third film as Sanjay Dutt and Ashish Chaudhary were missing. So, there is a possibility that Indra might decide to bring back Sanjay and Ashish this time.

Indra Kumar has had a decent track record over the years as most of his films have been successful, except Mann, Rishtey, Pyare Mohan, and Thank God.
Thank God was released almost three years ago and it seems like Dhamaal 4 will be a perfect opportunity for Indra Kumar to bounce back as a director. Now everything depends on the film’s promotional material, which we can expect to witness by next year.
