HYDERABAD: Senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao on Friday slammed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for “engaging in reckless and divisive rhetoric and resorting to baseless personal attacks against former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.”
Harish Rao, in a statement, castigated Revanth Reddy for “claiming that KCR has no right to live in Telangana” calling this “absurd and offensive.”
The BRS leader said “if Revanth Reddy wants to know who truly lacks public support, let him ask the people of Kodangal or his own village, Kondareddypalli. And he would not dare ask the people of Telangana what they think of him because he already knows the answer. The people are rejecting his divisive politics and reckless statements.”
He further accused the Chief Minister of diverting public attention from his failures, questioning whether his frustration with Rahul Gandhi was leading him to attack Chandrashekar Rao instead.
“Is this an attempt to stay relevant? Do you think that by attacking KCR, you will get a day’s worth of headlines? While you chase publicity, KCR has already secured his place in the hearts of the people,” Harish Rao said.
Harish Rao also condemned the Chief Minister’s attempts “to create unrest in Telangana, a state known for its peaceful progress. The office of the Chief Minister deserves dignity, yet Revanth Reddy is lowering its stature with his reckless statements. Telangana will not tolerate leaders who try to disrupt its peace and harmony,” he asserted. “Revanth Reddy, your words will be your downfall. If you continue on this path, the people of Telangana will bring an end to your political career,” Harish Rao warned.
