Hyderabad: Three Cyberabad police officers were honoured on Friday for their bravery in apprehending a notorious criminal even after he opened fire at a Gachibowli pub on 1 Feb. The suspect, Bathula Prabhakar, has over 70 cases registered against him across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. During the operation, head constable M Venkat Reddy sustained a gunshot wound to his left foot but remained on duty. He was later treated at a private hospital in the city. Cyberabad police commissioner Avinash Mohanty commended Venkat Reddy, along with constables K Pradeep Reddy and P Veeraswamy, in a ceremony at the Cyberabad CP office.
