MUMBAI: The Mumbai Indians will play their first home game (at the Wankhede Stadium) of IPL 2025 on March 31, The Times of India has learnt.
“MI will play their first two matches away, before playing their first home game at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 31,” a reliable source told TOI.

Meanwhile, the Gujarat Titansit’s learnt, will play their first match of IPL 2025 on March 25 at their home base – the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. “GT’s domestic players will undergo a camp in Surat from Sunday,” a source said.
IPL 2025 will commence on March 22 (Saturday) with a blockbuster match between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Interestingly, this is the first time since the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008 that KKR and RCB will clash with each other in the opening game of the high-profile T20 tournament.
The BCCI is likely to release the final schedule of the IPL soon.
MI finished last on the table in IPL 2024, losing 10 out of 14 matches and winning just four. GT, meanwhile, ended up eighth, losing seven matches and winning five.
