As per available information, the goons who were allegedly instigated by Koppula Veena Reddy, a Congress party leader and close aide of former minister Ramreddy Damodar Reddy.
Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed as a group of hired goons belonging to a local Congress party leader trespassed into a private land and created ruckus allegedly to grab at Chintalkunta in Vanasthalipuram on Saturday.
As per available information, the goons who were allegedly instigated by Koppula Veena Reddy, a Congress party leader and close aide of former minister Ramreddy Damodar Reddy.
The assailants had allegedly demolished the boundary wall surrounding the 1669 square yard plot and assaulted its owners. Scared of their lives, the plot owner and his family members fled from the spot and alerted the police on Dial 100. The scenes of the trespass and assault were recorded in the nearby surveillance cameras.
The plot owners alleged that Veena Reddy was trying to grab their land for the past some time. When they resisted his attempts, he resorted to using muscle force on them.
The police are investigating the incident.
