Vijayawada: The recent drone summit organized by the state govt has ignited several young brains to come out with innovative ideas. Students from different universities and colleges presented their new innovative drone models at an event held in SRM university campus.
A maritime drone developed by SRM University students stood out. The drone was designed to help patrol coastal areas more efficiently and detect unauthorized intrusions by vessels. It also has the capability to detect individuals who might be drowning in the sea and assist in rescuing them. The drone created by SRM University student Manikanth captivated many.
A wildlife surveillance drone created by Acharya Nagarjuna University students also grabbed everyone’s attention. The drone is capable of tracking movement of wild animals from forests into human settlements. The drone uses advanced thermal cameras to monitor animal movements even at night.
