Hyderabad: Telangana Skill University, in collaboration with the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector consortium, has announced a BFSI skilling programme, which would help job-seeking students get the required skills to unlock their career opportunities in the growing global capability centres (GCCs) sector.
Hyderabad is fast emerging as a thriving hub for GCCs, with 355 GCCs already employing over 3 lakh professionals. This four-month skilling programme aims to train BTech graduates in key areas such as banking operations, financial markets, insurance, investment banking, software development, programming, database management, cybersecurity, cloud computing and essential soft skills.
IT and industries minister D. Sridhar Babu announced that graduates who complete the training will benefit from dedicated placement support. The programme is offered at a nominal fee of `5,000. Selection is based on a qualifying entrance test, with 1,320 BTech graduates already registered for the current batch.
The entrance exam will be conducted at the Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI) campus in Gachibowli. Aspiring candidates can visit the Young India Skill University’s website (www.yisu.in) for further details.
