Nizamabad: Telangana State Cooperative Unions chairman and District Congress Committee president Manala Mohan Reddy accused Opposition leaders of fearing the upcoming caste census in Telangana. He claimed that BJP and BRS leaders are worried that the census, conducted by the Congress government, will empower people to demand a fairer share in politics.

Speaking at Congress Bhavan on Sunday, Mohan Reddy criticised BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri and BRS district president A. Jeevan Reddy for their focus on criticising the Congress’ political standing. He questioned why BJP leaders raise concerns about BC among Muslims while also questioning the inclusion of Muslims in the EWS quota at the Centre.

Mohan Reddy also highlighted that the Congress government took one year to streamline Telangana’s state budget and administration, underscoring Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s commitment to the development of all communities. A preparatory meeting for the upcoming MLC elections is scheduled to be held at the Bhoom Reddy Convention on Monday. Attendees included Nizamabad Urban Development Authority chairman Kesha Venu, Congress senior leader Narala Ratnakar, Ramarthi Gopi, Venu Raj, Narender Goud, and others.
