Ranveer Allahbadia apologizes again, Claims he faces death threats

Popular YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, widely known as ‘BeerBiceps,’ has again issued a public apology following the controversy surrounding his remarks on stand-up comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. The influencer, who commands over 16 million followers across social media platforms, has also claimed that he and his family are receiving death threats in the aftermath of the incident.

Allahbadia’s comment, which touched upon the topic of parents and sex, sparked widespread outrage, leading to police complaints against him and others associated with the show. Despite apologizing the day after the episode aired, the controversy has continued to escalate.

In a statement shared on social media, Allahbadia reiterated his regret, admitting that his remark was “insensitive and disrespectful.”

“My team and I are cooperating with the police and all other authorities. I will follow due process and be available to all agencies,” he said. “It is my moral responsibility to do better, and I am genuinely sorry.”

The podcaster also shared a video on Instagram and platform X (formerly Twitter), where he acknowledged that his attempt at humor was inappropriate.

“My comment was not appropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry,” he said in the video.

He further assured that he had requested the makers of the show to remove the offensive sections from the episode.

Threats and Security Concerns

Amid the backlash, Allahbadia revealed that he has been receiving death threats and expressed concerns over his and his family’s safety.

“I’m watching death threats pour in from people saying they want to kill me and hurt my family. People have even invaded my mother’s clinic, posing as patients. I’m feeling scared and I don’t know what to do,” he wrote on social media post.

However, he affirmed his commitment to face the situation. “I am not running away. I have full faith in the police and the judicial system of India.”

In response to the controversy, comedian Samay Raina has taken down all 18 episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube. While stating that the situation has become overwhelming for him, he assured that he would cooperate with authorities if required.

As the issue continues to unfold, both Allahbadia and Raina are expected to engage with law enforcement officials to address the complaints filed against them.
